Introducing Andrew Greeson, Director of Operations for Oaks Senior Living! Andrew joined the Oaks Family in 2009 and has served in various roles at several communities including Horizons Lifestyle Director, Community Relations Director, as well as, Executive Director. He has implemented many new programs and has successfully opened brand new communities during his tenure.
Howard was born in West Cobb County on February 1st, 1936. His dear wife, Jean, was born in Tennessee on June 7th, 1937. Howard and Jean were the first residents to move into The Oaks at Towne Lake, and Howard currently serves as one of the Resident Ambassadors.
Promoting Engagement through Activities for Seniors with Dementia
As members of our society age, it will continue to be important in promoting their engagement in social and emotional wellness to maintain their well-being. We know that people with many social ties have lower mortality rates. There are also tremendous amounts of evidence proving that active social networks can help to prevent declines in memory. While Alzheimer’s, and other forms of dementia, are not reversible, research shows that we can decrease the effects and slow the progression through both mental and physical activity.
