Congratulations to Lolita, our Oaks Senior Living February Resident of the Month!

Proud of her roots, Lolita told us she was and raised on a beautiful wheat farm in Kansas. She was one of seven children, five girls, and two boys. Growing up, her family tended a garden and raised several pigs, cows, and chickens. Her family had a pony that lived to be a phenomenal 31 years old. She said that the pony took her and her siblings to school every day. Her family faithfully attended church every Sunday, and she remembers the days when she would help can food, although this wasn’t her favorite thing to do. One of her favorite childhood memories was winning a 4-H contest and being able to attend summer camp.
