Jane was born at White Plains Hospital in White Plains, New York on April 9, 1934. She attended High School at Abbott Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. She then attended two years of college at Stetson University where she majored in Art.Jane married Gene in 1953 and they were together for 53 lovely years. They had four children; two sons named Eddie and Mike and two girls named Suzie and Holly. She also has 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with number five on the way! Her primary occupation, besides raising her children, was helping her husband run their insurance business. She also ran a school office for seven years. As if that wasn't enough she also found time to volunteer at a historic site in Fort Lauderdale!
Before coming to live here at the Oaks at Braselton, she lived in a three-bedroom house in Hoschton, Georgia. When Jane started experiencing more and more falls her children decided it was no longer safe for her to live alone, so she came here and joined our Oaks family.
Jane also enjoyed baking and singing in the choir for many years. She still has a passion for doing crafts and knitting. Some of the things she likes most about living at the Oaks are the friendly people, the excellent food, and the fun activities. We are so happy that Jane joined our Oaks family! If you or your loved one are looking to make the transition into a senior living community, find the right community and contact us today!
