Posted by Oaks Senior Living | 1 minute read

Frank was born in Newark, NJ, on Sept.26, 1930.  His parents had immigrated to America from Germany during the rise of the Nazis in Europe and The Great Depression in America. German was Frank’s first spoken language, but English was a close second. Frank graduated from Union New Jersey High School and Seton Hall University. After two years in the Army, Frank made a powerful career move. He moved to Atlanta to become Manager of Property Taxes for the Coca-Cola Company in the USA for 31 years!

Frank was an early co-founder of Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association and played tennis for over 45 years. He and his partner were, at one time, ranked in Georgia tennis. Frank loved playing racquetball and golf and is a sports nut. If there is a sports game on TV, you cant bet that Frank is watching! Frank was also a virtuoso accordion player and worked his way through college teaching and performing! He has entertained many friends and family at fun gatherings.

Frank also loved boating and being on the water. He boated at Lake Lanier for over 30 years. He also was involved in civic life through Kiwanis and Lions Club and headed the Lake Lanier Shore Sweep in the early 2000’s. Frank has traveled extensively through the USA, Europe, China, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South America, just to name a few.

Frank and Mary Bob have been married 40 years this year. Frank has four sons, one daughter, one stepdaughter, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. We love having Frank at The Oaks at Hampton and a part of our Oaks family!
