Carolyn was born in 1923 right here in South Atlanta. Growing up, she attended a private high school named Washington Seminary.
In her early adult life, she did clerical work at The Hartford Insurance Company in Atlanta. After she got married, she began working at Green Point Nursing Home. Carolyn is the proud mother of 3 children, Michael, Punnie, & Dusty, and she is also the grandmother of 3, Kristy, Asa, & Zachary, as well as a great-grandmother of two.
Carolyn has always had a passion for cooking and sports. During her younger years, she spent many days on the tennis court and was an avid player! Since her retirement, some of the things that make her happy are gardening, watching games on television, and shopping with her daughter.
Before moving to Oaks at Braselton in 2013, Carolyn lived at an independent community for 21 years named Christian Towers in Decatur. While she liked living there and the friends she had, she wanted to be closer to her family who lives in the area.
Carolyn is pleased living at Oaks at Braselton and especially loves our friendly atmosphere and safe environment. We could not be happier that Carolyn decided to become part of our Oaks family!
