Ted was born in Chicago Illinois June 5, 1928 with a younger brother who now lives in Oregon. Ted’s father owned a bar until Ted was 13 until his father went to work for the Wisconsin State Fisheries. Ted’s mother was a registered nurse.
In the echoes of “Hello, Darlin” and “Tight Fittin’ Jeans”, Minnie (or Mickey by many of her older friends) grew up in the Mississippi Delta. It was the time when a local boy by the name of Harold Jenkins was just changing his name to Conway Twitty, from singing in Minnie’s small Baptist church to . . . well, you know the rest.
Martha was born in Boaz, Alabama. At the time Boaz was a land of small, family owned cotton farms with a population of about 3000. When Boaz started to become a dying town, the Chamber of Commerce sought outlet stores to come to the town to revive the economy. It worked as the small town grew to a population of about 20,000.
Beyond Belief: Oaks Senior Living at Post Road continues to faithfully serve the residents within this beautiful retirement community located in Cumming, Georgia, and is where volunteers from First Redeemer Church again bring happiness and smiles. They held a worship service with the choir and orchestra while another group planted flowers and vegetables, beautified the property with landscaping and had homemade ice cream for the residents.
